Mandy Avery

​Mandy was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and moved to Lexington in 1982. She attended the University of Kentucky where she studied biology. Mandy is married to her best friend, Shelby, and is blessed with two wonderful children, Logan and Suzanna. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, traveling, reading, crocheting and serving at church. She is excited to be teaching third grade at LLS.

Tami Craig rece
ived a B.S. in 
Communication and Hearing Sciences from the University of Florida and a Master of Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia. She is a certified speech-language pathologist who has a passion for classical education and literacy. She has taught in second, fourth and sixth grades here at the Lexington Latin School. She and her husband Brian live in Versailles and have three children.

Lisa Dartt

​Mrs. Lisa Dartt has a B.A. in Elementary Education and has recently received an M.A. in Elementary Education with a Literacy Endorsement, both from the University of Kentucky.  She taught school for four years, prior to having her first child. Lisa and her husband, Myron, have three children, two who attend LLS.  Her hobbies include spending time outdoors with her family, reading, and baking.

Patricia Dawson

​Patricia Dawson received her B.A. in Ministry from Clear Creek Bible College. She has worked in public school as well as private for the past 22 years. She and her husband, Stewart, have been married for 35 years. They have two grown sons and two preschool granddaughters. She has taught at the Lexington Latin School since 2009. From her first Sunday School class of 1st and 2nd graders 34 years ago, she has always had a love of teaching children. She is thankful to be a part of the LLS family.

Jane Dixon
Jr. Kindergarden Teacher

Jane Dixon graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a B.A. in Journalism/Political Science and completed the Teacher Certification Program (grades K-12) at Purdue University. She has taught in 3 different states (Indiana, Arkansas, and Kentucky) at differing levels including middle school and kindergarten as well as serving as the director of a preschool while residing in Arkansas.  Jane and her husband, Patrick, have lived in the Lexington area for the past 15 years and are the parents of four children: Lauren, Christopher, Audrey and Katherine.​

Kelly Hammack

​Ms. Hammack received her B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Kentucky. She is originally from Lexington and graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar. In addition to teaching, she enjoys leading a small group at church of 5th grade girls, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and watching Kentucky Basketball.

​Mrs. Hardin received a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from State University of West Georgia. She has taught in several settings including elementary school, homeschool, and preschool. Mrs. Hardin loves spending time with children in a classroom environment and exploring ways to help them learn. She has four children.

​Mrs. Hogue received a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of the Cumberlands. She taught in public school before becoming a stay-at-home mother of three. She has served as a teacher at LLS since 2010 where all three of her children attend.

Molly Hudson
5th Grade Teacher

​Molly Hudson received her B.A. in History from Thomas Edison State College through Verity Institute in Indianapolis, IN. After graduation she joined the staff at Verity as the Assistant Dean of Women working in the Student Affairs department for a year and then served as the Guest Services Manager coordinating conferences and events for two years. While on staff she taught several history courses. She began teaching at LLS in 2012, is also currently pursuing a Masters in Education from Asbury University.  Molly currently serves as the LLS Athletic Director.

Lauren Jacobs
Lower School Art Teacher

​Mrs. Jacobs received her B.S. in Clothing and Textiles at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA. She served as a manager for several retail stores before going into sales. She retired from American Greetings to stay at home and homeschool her two young boys, which is where she discovered her love of teaching. She served as the art teacher at Woodford Christian School before coming to work at the Lexington Latin School. Lauren loves God, her family, children, smiling, reading and all things creative.

Marie King

​Marie King received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University and is currently pursuing her M.A. in Education from the University of the Cumberlands. She taught school for 5 years.  She and her husband, Tyler, have one son and one daughter.  Marie enjoys serving at her church, spending time with family and friends, traveling and exercising.

​DeeAnn Miller received her B.S. in Allied Health Sciences from the University of Kentucky and her Master of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Kentucky. She worked as a certified speech-language pathologist for two years before staying at home with her children. She has been teaching PE at LLS since 2009. She and her husband, Steve, have three children; Kailey, Morgan and Jay.

Morgan Neuer
1st Grade Teacher

​Morgan Neuer received her B.S. in Elementary Education at Western Kentucky University. She discovered her love for teaching through coaching swim team in both the Man O’ War and Central Kentucky Swim Conference. Morgan loves painting, her dogs, and watching her three younger siblings compete in sports. Morgan is so excited for a great first year, and to be a part of the LLS family!

Linda Powell
2nd Grade Teacher

​Linda Powell has many years teaching experience at the elementary level and is a published author.  She and her husband have two daughters (both teachers) and four grandchildren. Linda is a volunteer for Refuge for Women through her church.  She likes UK Basketball, traveling, flower gardening and teaching.  Linda is a proponent of the Classical Christian philosophy and she feels blessed to be a part of the LLS staff.

Vicki Reynolds

​Vicki Reynolds received both her B.A. degree in Education, with a Latin major and German minor, and M.A. degree in Education from the University of Kentucky. She taught Latin at UK for 7 years Latin I – IV and AP and IB Latin at the high school level for 24 years. She is married to David and has 2 adult children. Vicki loves reading, traveling, and spending time with her 3 young granddaughters.

Stacey Roberts graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Elementary Education and also received a Master’s degree in Education from Georgetown College.  She has 8 years of teaching experience in the public school system before becoming a stay-at-home mom.  Stacey and her husband, Nick, have two children who attend the Lexington Latin School.  She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and watching UK basketball.

​Amy Seigler graduated from Lander University with a B.S. in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education.  She taught special education for 6 years.  Amy and her husband, Michael, have three sons who attend Lexington Latin School.  She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and exercising.

Chelsea Steyn

Chelsea Steyn began teaching music at the Lexington Latin School in 2016. She is a Lexington native, attending the University of Kentucky with a degree in Vocal Performance and a Masters in Choral Conducting. She and her husband, Wehan, have three small boys and enjoy gardening, 'braaing,' reading and building things.

Angela Vittos
6th Grade Teacher

​Angela Vittos was born and raised in West Liberty, Kentucky. She received her B.S. in English from Morehead State University. After moving to Lexington, Angela attended Eastern Kentucky University and completed her Master's Degree in Education with a specialty in Counseling. She developed education materials for Kentucky's Health Departments.  Using only a classical approach to education, she understands and can attest to the many benefits and rewards.  
Angela and her husband Ted have two daughters and one son. 

Lynne Williams
6th Grade Teacher

Lynne Williams, a Louisville native, now lives in Versailles and enjoys being with family, gardening, reading, camping, traveling and learning new things.  Lynn earned Bachelors degrees in Math and German (Honors Programs) and a Masters in German Languages and Literatures from the University of Kentucky. She was an exchange student for two years at Heidelberg University.  Lynne is currently studying for her MAT at Georgetown College.  She taught German at the UK and was a teacher in a private school setting.
