Mrs. Jeannie Davis
Headmistress Jeannie Davis began the Lexington Latin School in 2003 by teaching Latina Christiana I and Roman history to beginning Latin students. LLS quickly grew to a full curriculum and all day classes. Mrs. Davis has been a long-time friend to Cheryl Lowe, founder of Highlands Latin School and Memoria Press. Mrs. Lowe encouraged Mrs. Davis to begin the venture of a Latin school in Lexington. Mrs. Davis' credentials include a B.S. degree from Western Kentucky University, an M.A.T. from the University of Louisville, and an M.S.W. from the University of Kentucky. She and her daughter studied English Literature at Oxford University in Exeter College one summer. Mrs. Davis holds a Lifetime Teaching Certification in Kentucky and has had much experience teaching in various venues including high schools, community colleges, adult education programs, and home schooling. Mrs. Davis loves teaching children and watching their knowledge and good character increase. She resides close to Lexington, Kentucky, with her husband, Sherman. |

Jennifer Hagerman, CPA
Chief Financial Officer EMAIL: [email protected] Jennifer Hagerman received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Western Kentucky University. She worked for six years as a CPA before becoming a stay-at-home mother of four. Mrs. Hagerman joined the LLS faculty in 2016 where three of her four children attend. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Wes, and children, eating out at her favorite restaurants, singing in her church choir, and watching college baseball. |

Jessica Short
Admissions and Lower School Administration EMAIL: [email protected] Mrs. Jessica Short graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a B.A. in Elementary Education and also received an M.S. in Instruction and Technology from Georgetown College. She taught kindergarten at Clays Mill Elementary for 7 years. Mrs. Short is married to Brett and has two daughters, who attend the Lexington Latin School. She enjoys traveling, shopping and spending time outdoors. "I enjoy greeting the smiling faces of the students everyday." |

Cassie Corbett
Lower School Administration EMAIL: [email protected] Cassie Corbett received a BA in Psychology from Asbury University and an M.A.T in English Education from the University of South Florida. After completing her masters, Cassie taught middle school English at private day schools in Florida and Kentucky for four years before becoming a stay at home mom to her three children. She reentered the classroom at LLS in 2013 and now serves as Lower School Curriculum Director. |

Madeleine McElwain
Lower School Office Manager EMAIL: [email protected] Madeleine McElwain was born and raised in Lexington, KY. She spent her childhood in private, Christian schools and is passionate about an education where students can be encouraged and nurtured. She attended the University of Kentucky and obtained a degree in Hospitality Management and Tourism with a Business Minor. Mrs. McElwain has enjoyed serving people for several years through event planning and administrative positions. In 2018, Mrs. McElwain began serving as the Office Manager for the Lower School at the Lexington Latin School. She is married to Josh and has a Great Dane named, Luna. When she is not in the office, Mrs. McElwain runs her own small business, enjoys baking, reading, and spending long summer days on Lake Cumberland. |

Fran Stone
Lower School Office Administration EMAIL: [email protected] Fran Stone graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Nursing. While she continues nursing at the University of Kentucky hospital, she also began working in the office at Lexington Latin School in the fall of 2018. She is married to Michael and they have four children attending LLS. She enjoys spending time with her family. |

Paula May
Upper School Dean & Director of College Planning EMAIL: [email protected] Mrs. May earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and her Master of Science degree from the University of Kentucky. She owned a private nutrition consulting practice and taught Nutrition Science at the University of Kentucky, Georgetown College and Eastern Kentucky University before pursuing administration at Trinity Christian Academy. While there, as Director of Academics and Admissions, she also taught Rhetoric and developed the Drama program. Mrs. May joined the staff at LLS as the Director of College Planning and is currently the Upper School Dean. Mrs. May is a native Upstate New Yorker but considers Kentucky her home. She has three children, Allison, Julia, and Brenden, and resides in rural Madison County. |

Shannon Cummins
Upper School Director of Student Life EMAIL: [email protected] Born and raised in Lexington, Shannon Cummins graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Biology. She later attended Austin Peay State University and earned her secondary science teaching degree. After teaching in locations around the world, due to being a military spouse for 20 years, she has settled in Lexington and been teaching at the Lexington Latin School since 2012. She is married to Jason and they have two boys, Jax and Colt, also attending the school. She enjoys traveling the country in their camper, cooking, and eating. |

Rick Freeman
Upper School Webmaster EMAIL: [email protected] After working in campus ministry for four years, Rick Freeman joined the LLS staff in 2018. He holds a B.A. in English education from the University of Kentucky and an M.A. in Theological Studies from Asbury Theological Seminary. When he’s not geeking out about theology or poetry, Mr. Freeman plays board games with his wife and shows off pictures of his (very adorable) son. |

Stacy Gedritis
Administrative Assistant EMAIL: [email protected] Stacy Gedritis is originally from Michigan and moved to Kentucky in 2007. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Communication Arts from Aquinas College and a Masters of Business Administration from Western Michigan University. She worked in the banking industry for nine years before becoming a stay at home mother to her two children. During her time at home she was an active volunteer for many children’s organizations. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and training for long distance running races. |

Andrea Blanton
Upper School Office Assistant EMAIL: [email protected] Andrea Blanton was born in Ashland, Kentucky and moved to Lexington when she was a year old. She received a B.S. in Merchandising & Textiles from the University of Kentucky. She married Jeff in 2001 and they have 3 children, 2 of whom attend the Lexington Latin School. She has been a part of the LLS since 2010 and looks forward to many more years here. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and decorating. |
