ABOUT LLS ORCHESTRA

LLS is excited to offer an orchestra program to our students. Only in its second year, our program has grown to include over 50 students in orchestra. Our orchestra program meets twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays.  

LLS Students are invited to join the beginner orchestra when they enter the 4th grade. Students can choose to play the violin, viola, cello, or string bass.  They will work on all the fundamentals of learning these instruments and prior experience is not necessary.  
Students in 5th-8th grade can participate in our intermediate class.  This class meets in a large group on Mondays and separately by grade level on Thursdays.  Students in grades 5-8 may join as beginners but will need to work with our program director.

    • ​Intermediate (5-8th grades):  12:15-1:30pm
    • Beginners (4th grade):  1:30-2:45pm
  • On Thursdays orchestra classes meet during the school day
